Later that evening…

After Lee’s parents left we went to work. Okay so maybe Lee went to work. I mostly sat around and watched him as I was tired from earlier activities.

My work in the evening consisted of shoveling up plaster into buckets and then carrying them down to the dumpster. It’s actually quite fun. The shoveling part that is. Because how often do you get to shovel in the house? The carrying of the buckets down the hallway and then lifting them over your head to dump in the bin is NOT fun.

Lee went to work by dumping lath and fake paneling out the window. After that he finished ripping out the closet. I think he finds it fun throwing things out the window.

I find this picture quite humorous. Lee looks very evil in it. He put on his breather mask before he demolished the second floor chimney.

Lee and I were both dreading the sledge hammering out of the old chimney. I was remembering how long it took for him to sledge hammer out the fire pit at our house in Arizona. It was not fun or easy at all.

The second floor chimney came out really easy. But seeing as it was built in 1937 that probably had something to do with it. Old mortar and all. That or Lee has gotten really big arm muscles. He then had great fun throwing concrete out the second floor window. Notice the chard wood in the second picture. I think the chimney was slowly cooking it. Guess it was a house fire waiting to happen.
