Elephant garlic

I harvested our Elephant garlic about two weeks ago. Thankfully, we didn’t have a R.O.U.S. this year, so we had a normal harvest. Later this week I will be harvesting our regular garlic. It’s about time, as I was running low on our garlic supply from last year. This has been the first year that we didn’t have to buy garlic in the store.

I could kick myself in the arse that I didn’t plant any garlic this year. Yours looks amazing. Next year, next year…LOL. Enjoy it!

Unfortunately, we only get to admire the elephant garlic too. We ate a couple last year, but that didn’t leave enough to expand our stock. This year’s harvest is all going to be replanted in a couple more months.

We did harvest a lot of normal garlic, and we’re going to enjoy that! I like growing garlic because it’s pretty low maintenance here: no watering and minimal weeding.
