Summer sunflower

This is a volunteer sunflower from two summers ago. I should have saved all the sunflower seedlings that came up in the garden rather than weeding them as the sunflower seeds I planted were a bust.

Ooooh. And there’s even a honey bee on it. You have any hives nearby?

One of our neighbors has several bee boxes in his field. I think he is trying to do blackberry honey. Lee and I were pretty excited when we saw the hives as the neighbor has never done that before. I figure we have pollination all sorted this year. čśÇ
