You’re back! What do you have planned to grow this year?
Haha, yeah we are back. Somehow life is a lot busier with a little person in tow. We are planning the usual suspects for the garden. Lee has some test plots with grain corn in mind. He is very intrigued by focusing on heritage breeds specifically for flavor, after reading stuff by Sean Brock. We plan on doing a kid section of the garden with a tepee, tunnel and long house with plants Sidney gets to water and we don’t care if anything gets hurt. I told Lee last night we may have to kick the chickens out of the garden as all the things we want to grow seems to expand each year.
Sounds great! Hope all your plans come together… This is definitely the time of year to get all of that going 🙂
Cranking up the BCS! I’ve been reining in my urges to plant too much as of yet, our last average frost is around the end of April.
How did the kitchen turn out?
We finally got stuff in the garden yesterday. We’ve been on a slow recovery from a nasty cold that we got a month ago. I love garden season!!!
The kitchen turned out really nice. I will post the pics sometime soon!
